    We need volunteers to help with administration, maintenance, events, fundraising, ticket sales, solicitation, implementing grant programs, fundraising projects, marketing and serving on the board of directors.

“I Can Be Great” Music Program

Discover the magic of music, develop skill, take pride, develop discipline and confidence.
  • Spots for 30 children (ages 8-11, to learn ukulele) and 4 youth (ages 12-16, to learn guitar)
  • Classes delivered by professional music teachers
  • Collaboration with Kingston School of Music, Limestone Music, Renaissance Music and Kingston Sound Works. Each supplying a teacher, instrument and supplies.
  • Ukulele or guitar and songbooks supplied
  • Children get to keep the ukulele, songbook and CD
  • 2 sessions of 10 weekly lessons x 30 children = 600 hours of free music lessons
  • Registration ongoing
  • I Can Be Great Registration Form
  • Teaching  sites –The Wally  Elmer Centre, The Boys & Girls Club and the Kingston School of Music
  • Cost: ***FREE***
  • I Can Be Great is sponsored by The United Way  and the Community Foundation  For Kingston and Area

    Wednesday: 10am - 2pm
    Thursday: 3pm – 7pm
    Friday: 10am - 2pm
    Saturday: Noon – 4pm
